Winter Recitals

Posted: 29th January 2026

The Prep Winter Recital was such a joyful celebration of musical variety, confidence and commitment, with pupils from Year 1 to Year 6. The programme showcased an impressive breadth of musical styles and instruments, from piano, cello, flute, recorder, guitar and drums, to solo and ensemble singing.

It was particularly exciting to hear music from across genres, including classical favourites, traditional pieces and songs from the rock and popular music world. It was wonderful to see pupils embracing the experience of being part of something bigger than themselves, creating shared musical memories and developing confidence that will support them well beyond the music world. It was a powerful reminder of how music brings pupils together, creating memories of being part of something bigger than themselves and building confidence that reaches far beyond the performance.

A huge thank you to the visiting music teachers for their dedication and for supporting pupils so warmly in the performance itself, Lucy and Emily, but also Aleksandra, Julie and Roberto who couldn’t be there but have worked hard with their pupils.

The Senior concert was an evening that showcased outstanding performances from pupils across a range of styles including jazz, pop and classical music.

Students from Years 7–11 demonstrated an incredibly high standard of musicianship, commitment and confidence through a variety of solos and band performances on many different instruments. Parents, teachers and friends thoroughly enjoyed a vibrant and entertaining celebration of talent and hard work.
