Welcome to Hampton Court House, an award-winning school nestled in Bushy Park near East Molesey on the South West London and Surrey borders
Early Years | Prep | Senior | Sixth Form
Hampton Court House is an independent, co-educational day school for ages 2–18, offering an exceptional all-through education from The Little Courtiers in Early Years through Prep and Senior School to Sixth Form. HCH offers a truly continuous educational journey, where children can grow and flourish within a community that knows them well, from their earliest years through to Sixth Form and benefit from the close relationships, personalised support and sense of belonging that come from being known as an individual. Students achieve consistently strong academic outcomes, with the 2026 cohort achieving 23% Grade 9s and 62% of grades at 9–7 at GCSE, while A Level students achieved 16% A* grades, 49% A*–A and 76% A*–B. Students progress to a diverse range of impressive destinations, including Russell Group universities, with 100% of students applying for Dentistry securing places. HCH is proud to be recognised among the top 10% of independent schools in the UK.
At the heart of HCH is a belief that academic achievement and personal growth should go hand in hand. The school’s culture of purposeful informality, where students and teachers use first names and pupils are encouraged to develop their independence, confidence and voice, creates an environment in which children genuinely enjoy learning. This approach has been recognised through national awards, including Education Choices’ Developing Student Voice award, Talk Education’s national award for Support for Life Beyond School, and recognition in the Independent Schools of the Year and Education Business Awards. HCH has also achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag with Distinction and accreditation from The Harmony Project for its pioneering approach to sustainable thinking.
The breadth of the HCH experience is equally distinctive. From Forest School in the Early Years and an award-winning, LabelFrancÉducation-accredited French bilingual programme to an extensive programme of sport, performing arts, outdoor learning and enrichment, students are encouraged to explore their interests and discover their strengths. Partnerships with specialist external sports hubs, including St Mary’s University, Xcel Leisure Centre and Molesey Boat Club, further enhance the school’s sporting offer. In the Sixth Form, the award-winning Preparing for Life programme develops the skills, knowledge and confidence students need beyond school, combining academic excellence with wellbeing, leadership, cultural literacy and community engagement.
Set within a beautiful Grade II listed house beside Bushy Park and Hampton Court Palace, HCH offers a truly extraordinary setting in which to learn. Its combination of academic ambition, individual attention, purposeful informality and an unusually rich range of opportunities enables students to develop not only as successful learners, but as confident, curious and capable young people. Families are warmly invited to discover the HCH experience at one of the school’s regular Open Mornings, held throughout term time.
