What a way to round off the academic year! Our Summer Fête was a wonderful celebration of everything that makes Hampton Court House so special, bringing together pupils, families, staff and the wider community for an unforgettable afternoon.
It was fantastic to see so many current HCH families enjoying the day alongside those who will be joining our school community in September. We were also delighted to welcome so many local residents, making the fête a true celebration of community and connection.
This year’s event featured our biggest-ever Artisan Market, with more than 20 fantastic stalls showcasing a wonderful variety of local businesses, crafts and handmade products. Visitors enjoyed a selection of food and drink throughout the afternoon, from gourmet burgers, falafel, coffee and ice cream to our Friends’ famous waffles, delicious homemade cakes and bakes, alongside a well-stocked Friends bar serving up delicious summer Pimms.
The entertainment was equally impressive, with live music creating a fantastic atmosphere all afternoon. School of Rock brought plenty of energy to the stage, while performances from our talented HCH musicians and our resident DJ kept the celebrations going well into the afternoon. A special well done to Aphrodite, Kylie, Amir for their solo and duet performances as well as our Nemesis Band (Dax, Lea, Eleanor), and our other fantastic Year 9 band (Bryan, Kylie, Nelson, Daisy, Dax) for their brilliant performances and energy throughout the event. Huge thanks to our peri teachers Roberto and Julie for supporting the pupils with their rehearsals.
There was something to inspire every age. Our Young Entrepreneurs proudly showcased their own businesses, including beautifully handcrafted jewellery, demonstrating the creativity and enterprise that we encourage at HCH. The Innovation Corner invited visitors to explore engineering challenges and experience 3D printing workshops, while the Creative Corner, hosted by art-K Kingston and the HCH Craft Society, was buzzing with artistic activity.
The Dog Show made a welcome return, while funfair rides, traditional games and family activities ensured there was never a quiet moment.
A huge thank you goes to our incredible Friends of Hampton Court House, whose tireless dedication, creativity and enthusiasm made the event such a tremendous success. We are also grateful to our volunteers, performers, stallholders and everyone who came along to support the day. The Summer Fête perfectly captured the spirit of Hampton Court House – creative, innovative, welcoming and full of joy – and was a wonderful way to celebrate another fantastic year together.
