Congratulations to Davin and Ethan in Year 8, who recently qualified for prestigious follow-on rounds of the UK Mathematics Trust competitions, an outstanding achievement in itself!
Davin earned a place in the Junior Olympiad, a competition reserved for the highest- performing students nationally. To qualify, he had to place within the top 1,000 students from hundreds of thousands of entrants. The Olympiad paper consisted of six highly challenging mathematical problems to be completed within two hours, requiring exceptional reasoning and perseverance.
Ethan qualified for the Junior Kangaroo, an invitation-only competition featuring a demanding one-hour multiple-choice paper designed to stretch and challenge talented young mathematicians.
We now await the results with great anticipation. Congratulations to both Davin and Ethan for reaching this stage and representing Hampton Court House with such distinction.
