Year 3 & 4 Science Museum Trip

Posted: 13th May 2026

Last week in Year 3 and 4, we spent a fantastic day at the Science Museum. The excitement started as soon as we left school, as we took the train, and then the underground to reach the museum. Having arrived, we firstly enjoyed a presentation all about the digestive system, in which we learnt how our food is used in our bodies and the journey it takes. Needless to say, this was just a little disgusting at times – which made it all the more enjoyable!

After some time exploring in the hands on section of the museum, we headed to our final talk, all about fire and explosions. We learnt all about the fire triangle, and how fireworks are made. We made sure we all covered our ears when the really loud explosion came at the end – well all except Angela that is – she nearly jumped out of her skin!

It was an amazing day – everyone learnt so much and we must thank Rebecca and Jen for all of the organisation needed behind such a great trip.
