Stchelle Ombura


Position: Teacher of Physics

Stchelle joined Hampton Court House School in February 2026 as Teacher of Physics.

Before training as a teacher, Stchelle worked in engineering and technology. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering from the University of the West of England, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Bath, and a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from the East African School of Aviation.

His professional experience includes work as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer with the State Department for Roads in Kenya, where he was involved with the repair and maintenance of motor vehicle and plant equipment. Later he designed and led a digital literacy programme for small business owners.

He completed his PGCE in Science: Physics with Mathematics at University College London and went on to teach Mathematics before joining Hampton Court House.

He is fluent in Swahili, enjoys cycling, and is interested in research into science education using low- or no-cost practical activities.
