Rob grew up in Gloucestershire, where he was a cathedral chorister and music scholar, and studied English Literature at St. John’s College, Durham University. He then spent a handful of years working in the City before completing his PGCE.
Before joining Hampton Court House in 2020, Rob spent sixteen years teaching and in senior leadership at a variety of schools in London and environs. Prior to his current role as Director of Studies, Rob led first the English department and subsequently the Sixth Form at HCH.
Outside the classroom, Rob spends most of his time raising his two teenage daughters, reading, writing, walking, running, and continuing to play a few musical instruments with varying degrees of competence.
