On a sunny afternoon in Ashford, our Year 9–10 football team put on a brilliant display against St James School.
The match was tightly contested throughout, but a superb through ball from Jayden sent Amir racing through on goal, and he lifted the ball calmly over the onrushing goalkeeper to give us a deserved lead. Carrying that momentum into the second half, an exquisite pass from Fayaz found his midfield partner Jayden, who finished with composure into the bottom corner.
From start to finish, the team showed resilience, discipline, and real maturity in their performance – every player should feel incredibly proud of the effort that secured this fantastic win. Our Player of the Match was Magnus, whose commanding captain’s display at the heart of defence set the tone for the whole team.
