Janak graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art & Design (University of the Arts London), specialising in sculpture, and holds a PGCE with QTS. Notable successes during his time at university included showcasing his artwork at two exhibitions in London.
Following graduation, Janak’s passion for physical education (PE) and sport took him in a new direction. His experience as a PE teaching assistant in a school reinforced that he wanted to promote PE in an educational context. He trained and worked for 7 years as a health and fitness professional in a corporate gym at the Royal Courts of Justice and HM Treasury. His primary goal was raising the health and fitness aspirations of both the civil service and wider central government employees. In this role, his clients included judges, barristers, lawyers and politicians. He found the best approach to combating poor nutrition, injuries and any decline in health was to target his audience from an early age and educate both mentally and physically. His love of educating his clients propelled him into the school setting where he has successfully promoted the value of sports education to encourage healthier lifestyles.
