Music and Performing Arts at Hampton Court House

At Hampton Court House, the performing arts are woven into the fabric of school life—nurturing confidence, creativity, and collaboration in every student.

A Culture of Creative Expression

Creative freedom is encouraged through a diverse curriculum that blends tradition with innovation. From immersive French drama in Nursery and Reception to A-Level Music Technology and site-specific theatre, our students develop artistic confidence in a stimulating and supportive environment.

Performances and practical work are not confined to classrooms. Whether rehearsing in our unique ‘Ice House’ drum studio, composing in our state-of-the-art music tech suite, or taking the stage in full-scale productions, students are encouraged to creatively express themselves and explore their craft in individual and collaborative settings

Performing Opportunities Throughout the Year

HCH students benefit from a rich calendar of musical and theatrical events, including:

  • Ensemble and solo performances
  • Site-specific theatre and drama showcases
  • Lunchtime recitals
  • Student-led composition and songwriting
  • Seasonal productions and concerts

Daily opportunities to perform—formally and informally—are part of life at HCH. We celebrate both the process and the final piece, and our unique setting—with pianos throughout the school and daily performance opportunities—encourage spontaneous creativity.

Music and Drama for Everyone

At Hampton Court House, the performing arts are for all—not just the few. We welcome participation across every age and ability, cultivating resilience, empathy, and joy through performance. Students leave HCH not only with artistic skill, but with a deep understanding of collaboration, storytelling, and creative risk-taking—qualities that last a lifetime.
