Rebecca Williams

Position: Teacher of Geography

Rebecca was born and educated in Gloucester and Cheltenham. She studied at the University of Birmingham for her degree in Geography. In order to see more of the world, she taught English as a Foreign Language in Tokyo (enjoying travels in the Far East and karaoke) and Bordeaux (to improve her French). Rebecca gained the Diploma in ELT whilst teaching international students back in London.

Once she set her course as a Geography teacher, Rebecca completed postgraduate teacher training at Sussex University. She taught at Lewes Old Grammar School (and enjoyed Lewes Bonfire!) in the South Downs, and then became Head of Department at Francis Holland School Sloane Square. Rebecca loves the broad range of the subject, enjoying physical and human elements alike, and believes in the importance of fieldwork and adopting an investigative approach.

Mum to two young boys, she enjoys finding time to run, play the piano, compose music, read and make travel plans.
