Claire graduated from Brighton University with a degree in Fashion and Textile design, specialising in constructed woven textiles. She worked for 15 years as cabin crew with British Airways, during which time she was able to work with the BA design team on the development of the new uniform introduced in collaboration with Julien MacDonald. She also worked for Chris Levine, a renowned artist famous for his holographic portraits.

Since 2015 Claire has worked at The Makery, teaching adults new sewing skills. She spends most of her spare time sewing fancy dress costumes for her young children; loves adventure, and has travelled to Sri Lanka and Mexico in recent years; and spends most weekends digging up weeds in her allotment.
