Our main hall was transformed into an intimate Jazz lounge on Thursday night as guests enjoyed a fantastic evening of jazz and featuring musicians of an exceptionally high standard.
Our peripatetic saxophone teacher Aldevis Tibaldi led the quartet, joined by Gabriel Keen on piano, Amy Baldwin on double bass and Winston Clifford on drums. The programme featured music by Miles Davis and Duke Ellington, with thoughtful arrangements by Aldevis.
The evening began with an engaging introduction exploring the journey of jazz, highlighting what made these iconic musicians so influential and connecting their music to the historical and cultural contexts in which it flourished. That afternoon, Aldevis led an intimate workshop for our students – music plays a central role in our holistic approach to education and it was both a treat and a pleasure to host these professional musicians at HCH.
We are very grateful to all the Hampton Court House staff who helped make this event possible and contributed to such a memorable evening of live music. Thank you to all families and children that came and supported this event!
