Welcoming Back Alumni

Posted: 16th February 2026

We were delighted to welcome back HCH alumnus Brynley to Hampton Court House, where his academic journey first began.

Now working at Clifford Chance in Canary Wharf after studying at the University of Edinburgh, Brindley shared not only the story of his professional success, but the mindset and experiences that helped him get there.

Speaking with our Sixth Form students, he offered valuable insights into preparing for exams, transitioning to university, standing out in competitive applications, and navigating the early stages of a legal career. He spoke candidly about resilience, wellbeing, and the importance of making the most of every opportunity — both inside and outside the classroom.

Brynley credited Hampton Court House as a defining influence in his journey, highlighting the school’s emphasis on independence, experiential learning, and personal growth as key factors in shaping his confidence and direction.

His visit was a powerful reminder of the impact of alumni engagement. Meaningful connections between past and present students not only provide practical guidance and perspective, but also inspire ambition and belief in what is possible.

We are incredibly proud of Brynley’s achievements and grateful for the time he invested in encouraging the next generation of HCH students.
