At Hampton Court House (HCH), mathematics is more than numbers—it’s an invitation to think critically, solve creatively, and strive for academic excellence. We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our pupils at every stage, from enthusiastic young mathematicians in Early Years to confident learners in Sixth Form.
Outstanding Results and Individual Achievement
This year, HCH students have achieved remarkable progress and impressive results in mathematics. Our robust curriculum and expert teaching have enabled pupils to:
- Secure top-tier outcomes in external examinations.
- Excel in national and regional maths competitions. Three of our talented students achieved awards in the Junior Maths Kangaroo competitions, with another two receiving a Certificate of Merit in the Hamilton Maths Olympiad and a Certificate of Distinction in the Junior Maths Olympiad respectively .
- Rapidly develop skills through personalised challenges and enrichment sessions.
Enrichment Programmes for Every Age
We believe that mathematical confidence grows from engagement and curiosity. That’s why we offer a wide range of activities tailored to spark interest and challenge ability:
- Maths Clinic – drop-in sessions where pupils explore complex problems and extend beyond the classroom syllabus.
- Engagement with events like Pi Day and Maths Week, featuring quizzes, puzzles and house competitions.
- Mentoring of younger students by Sixth Form ambassadors through peer-tutoring and leadership in workshops.
Preparing Analytical Thinkers for the Future
Our maths provision not only nurtures examination success, but also equips pupils with vital skills for life beyond school:
- Logical reasoning and critical evaluation.
- Creative problem‑solving and perseverance.
- Quantitative literacy—essential in an increasingly data‑driven world.
