Sixth Form Programme Launch

Posted: 7th November 2024

Hampton Court House is proud to launch our unique Sixth Form programme designed as a holistic framework to prepare students for more than just university entry. It is aimed at preparing students for life, empowering them with the independence, confidence, and self-awareness to become well rounded young adults. Alongside exceptional academics, the programme includes five key pillars: physical and mental health, leadership, cultural literacy and community.

Physical and Mental Health: Students follow tailored gym and functional training sessions led by expert trainers, incorporating flexibility and light weights to enhance focus and mental wellbeing. Support for mental health includes trained peer “Mental Health Champions,” wellbeing walks with our school dog, and a dedicated “Recharge Room” offering relaxing, creative activities.

Cultural Literacy: Trips to the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Opera House, and other cultural institutions develop cultural fluency and enrich emotional and intellectual lives.

Leadership: One-to-one coaching, leadership workshops, and inspiring speakers nurture critical thinking and confidence.

Community and Giving Back: Our Sixth Formers also play a vital role in mentoring younger pupils, taking on student leadership roles as well as leading charitable projects, building empathy while giving back to their communities.

Principal Katherine Vintiner explains: “At HCH, we pride ourselves on doing things differently. While we take academic outcomes very seriously, we are equally focused on ensuring our students leave as well-rounded individuals.

Our Sixth Form reflects this commitment—combining academic excellence with personal growth. Rooted in evidence-based practice, it’s designed to develop healthy minds, healthy bodies and confident young adults. With its focus on self-awareness, wellbeing, achievement, and cultural enrichment, HCH Sixth Form equips students to thrive in every aspect of life.”
