Dominic Cotton has been a freelance trumpet player and teacher for over 25 years. Working across the United States and Europe, he performs classical, baroque, and jazz music on both modern and period instruments.
He has appeared with a range of distinguished ensembles, including the English Concert, Dallas Baroque Trumpets, the Norwegian Baroque Orchestra, and the Swan Orchestra Amsterdam. On modern trumpet, he has worked with leading organisations such as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the London Brass Symposium, as well as performing in numerous shows and productions.
Alongside his performing career, Dominic has extensive experience in education, having led trumpet ensembles in a variety of schools. He is passionate about developing young musicians and would be keen to establish and direct a trumpet ensemble at Hampton Court House.
Outside of music, he enjoys running, swimming, and playing golf.
