Year 6 Netball Team

On Tuesday 10 October, the Y6 netball team played in a match against the U11C team from Newland House School.

It has been great to see the girls’ enthusiasm for netball continue to grow this year, as numerous breaks and lunch times are spent on the netball court practising their shooting, footwork and ball skills. Eager to return to the court after a long rest over the summer, the girls played with determination and focus to gain possession of the ball for the majority of the game.

The HCH girls dominated the game throughout all four quarters. Although, during the first quarter, the girls began to follow the ball around the court, rather than finding space and passing into it. However, as the game progressed, it was clear to see that they were trying to make accurate passes into space, which allowed the ball to travel efficiently into the circle, where Ana managed to score 4 goals in total.

A great success considering it was their first match of the season, followed by a lovely sociable tea between the two teams!

Team: Stacy (Captain), Lily, Ana, Maria, Julie, Zara, Vivian and Savannah.

Player of the match: Ana
