Trigonometry in Bushy Park

Yesterday, Year 8 ventured out to the Diana Fountain to get the measurements they needed to find the height of the statue using trigonometry.

The big plan was to find the radius by getting the circumference and rearranging C=2 x pi x r. They then used protractors to find the angle of elevation.

The different groups had various results, which will be compared and discussed in today’s lesson.
