Summer Ballet Show 2017

The children in Early Years and Lower Years, along with older students who attend Ballet Club, put on a summer term show, ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’ an interpretation of the book by Giles Andreae.

Ballet forms part of the curriculum from Nursery to Year 4, with children from Year 5 being able to continue to study this art form by attending Ballet Club. The Summer 2017 Ballet Show saw children from age 3 to 16 perform together, with the older students guiding the younger ones, a wonderful example of students in an all-through school coming together to produce something truly spectacular.

In the book, the main character Gerald proves that giraffes can dance, and the HCH ballet students demonstrated that they can too – and very well. Congratulations to all those who took part and to Lauren, their teacher, for bringing together a memorable ballet show.

Encore!
