Progression to the next year – Academic standards

Progression to the next year is not entirely automatic. Academic and behavioural standards need to be met.

The school reserves the right to vary or waive these criteria at any time but as a basic floor standard in order to progress from one stage to the next students are expected to pass the following hurdles.

In Year 6, an average of at least 50% in CE11+ Maths and English.

In Year 8, an average of at least 50% in CE13+ Maths, English, Science, History & Geography.

The standards required for entry into the Sixth Form are significantly more stringent and will be set, based on the choice of subjects, in the form of an offer letter following an interview in the Autumn Term of Y11.
