Daycare Communication with Parents

Parental/Carer Involvement

We understand how important communication is between parents and members of staff and encourage parents to communicate with the Manager or the key person as much as they wish.

Parents are always welcome to request a formal meeting with their child’s key person or the manager to discuss their progress, the curriculum, activities, etc., but may find that these topics are covered during informal meetings.

Parents’ Evenings

Parents are invited to attend a parents’ evening each term, during which they will discuss their child’s progress and development.

Almanack (Daily Diary)

Members of staff write information (with time indicated) during the day about bottles, lunch, snacks, naps, nappy changing, medication given, etc. Parents can take the Almanack at the end of the day and write their comments.
