Friends of Hampton Court House is a voluntary group of parents who wish to:

  • engage fully with the School
  • support the School
  • help building a social and community based spirit for both parents and students
  • organise social events and encourage parents and students to support these events – these events should be open to families and friends of Hampton Court House
  • help raise funds for school projects

All hampton court house parents are welcomed and included in this body.

Year 1 complete French book project

The Y1 children have been working on a project about ‘how to make a book’ which began in January. They took part in a number of writing workshops, during which they invented and wrote their own story and illustrated it. This was a project that we ran with the help of some sixth-form students. During... the project we also welcomed the French illustrator Marianne Barcilon who delivered workshops to Y1, Y2 and Y3 in February, thanks to the support of the HCH Friends. The book is in French, but it is also translated in English for the whole school to read.

Family Picnic on Sunday 9th June

Hampton Court House hosted a family picnic on Sunday 9th June in the school grounds. The Friends of HCH organised free ice-cream and face painting as well as some incredible rowing and Olympic Lifting demonstrations from the team at Molesey Boat Club. Families and the local community were able to view... the whole-school art exhibition which was installed in the art rooms at the front of the school. The Year 6 entrepreneurs sold various produce and snacks as a culmination of their Stride Enterprise project this term.

The afternoon was brought to a close with the annual battle of the bands competition. The nail-biting final saw bands from Year 8 and Year 5 perform for a chance to win the final which was being judged by music industry professionals infront of a gathered crowd of pupils, their familes and the wider HCH community.

Francophone Week 7th-10th May 2019

Staff and pupils are looking forward to ‘Francophone Week’ at Hampton Court House, celebrating the language and culture of the world’s many French-speaking countries.
Each classroom will have the flag of a country where French is (one of the) official languages, plus some economic and cultural... information of that country. There will be special lunchtime assemblies, workshops, French films and talks to encourage students to discover the Francophone culture beyond France.

Lower Years Easter egg hunt

Lower Years pupils were treated to an Easter egg hunt today to celebrate the end of term and the start of the Easter holidays. The Friends of Hampton Court House went to fantastic lengths to hide Easter eggs in the grounds of the school and construct a word search to give the pupils clues which would... lead to the location of the Easter bunny. Some eager-eyed pupils even managed to spot the Easter bunny making his way through the grounds and gave chase before he went to visit the Early Years pupils.

Middle and Upper Years pupils celebrate Mardi Gras at a fun-filled carnival

The Middle and Upper years pupils celebrated the Carnival in style on Tuesday 5th March.
In a beautifully decorated conservatory the children enjoyed pancakes, hotdogs, pizzas and mocktails. They could also make memories by having their photograph taken in the colourful photo-booth.
After warming-up... with a salsa dancing workshop in the theatre, the highlight of the evening was the announcement of the costume competition winners with categories for both staff and pupils.


The FRIENDS would like to thank all the parents and teachers who helped to make this carnival a memorable moment for everyone in our school community.
