Middle and Upper Years Sports Day

Twining were victorious in the 2016 Middle and Upper Years Sports Day, clinching the house cup after a closely fought day of running, jumping and throwing.

There was a real buzz on the playing field as all the four houses assembled to compete in track and field events. Students from Year 5 to Sixth Form played and cheered for each other in their houses.

Every single student was encouraged to take part. However special mentions must go to Miles (Year 8), Torin (Year 12), Christopher (Year 11), Zoe (Year 6), Dhelia (Year 9), Ben (Year 10), Tom (Year 6), and Anaïs (Year 10) for commitment to events and excellent performances.

The house cup also included scores from last Friday’s indoor cricket tournament. Rain had stopped play outside but the HCH sports department lived up to the school motto, “Fortiter in re”, by moving the games indoors, undaunted by liquid sunshine.

It was Rebecca Jeppeson’s final Sports Day at Hampton Court House. The sun shining was a wonderful send off.
