Manon was born in France, but grew up in Romania, Seychelles, Andorra and Luxembourg. She was educated in the French educational system, but always had a strong interest in the different cultures and languages she experienced. Manon holds a French diploma to work with children (BAFA), and a degree in teaching French as a foreign language, delivered by the Alliance Française of Paris and studied through the CNED programme. Since then, Manon has been gaining work experience teaching French in a secondary state school in West London, as well as at the Institut Français in London, working also as a qualified marker and examiner for the DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) exams. She recently completed her Maîtrise, which is the equivalent of one year of post-graduate studies, or BA with honors, in Didactics of Languages for the University of Grenoble-Alpes partnering up with CNED. Her main dissertation was a study on the impact and effectiveness of studying French through an immersion programme at a young age (as with the French-English bilingual immersion programme in the Lower Years at HCH). On a personal note, Manon has a passion for animals, and is a member of a small but growing cultural and artistic association based in Mali.
