Emma read English Literature at Royal Holloway University, Surrey, and then completed her Masters in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths University, London. During her writing career Emma has written for Running in Heels, The London Economic and Our Hen House amongst others. She recently completed a commissioned biography of the founders of the charity Compassion in World Farming (due to be published in 2019).

Emma began teaching privately throughout London in 2011; she has since taught primary and secondary-aged children from across the world. She loves to explore dynamic ways to engage and motivate all of her students – especially those who are resistant to the wonders of literature and language. Her literary heroes include Virginia Woolf, Salman Rushdie, Angela Carter, Allen Ginsberg and of course Shakespeare.

In her spare time Emma enjoys intrepid travel, Zen yoga and literary podcasts. She is currently attempting to fulfil her childhood dream of becoming a prima ballerina.
