HCH Wellbeing Day 2020

As we draw this half term to a close we have hopefully given our students some lovely experiences and happy memories today to take with them into the two-week break. The students have spent some of the day off-timetable to enjoy a range of ‘feel-good’ physical and outdoor activities as part of HCH Wellbeing Day.

Year 5 to Year 7 have taken part in a Halloween-themed Latin dance workshop wearing their spooky and brightly-coloured halloween costumes! Each year group learned a different dance routine with Latin-inspired choreography.

Year 8 to Year 13 have taken part in a range of outdoor activities with the team from Really Wild Education. The activities have all been designed not only to impart useful knowledge about outdoor skills but also to develop team-building skills and to give our older students some great memories and anecdotes as they leave for the half term break. Some students have been building campfires while others crafted their own bracelets out of natural materials and built shelters in the grounds.

Our youngest students in the early and lower years also came to school in fancy dress and enjoyed a day filled with halloween activities. They have taken part in maths and English puzzles involving spooky clues and solutions. This afternoon they have been treated to a year group party and have decorated their own cupcakes with halloween-themed decorations.
