A level results day 2019

Whilst the headlines across the country are about falling numbers of A grades, results are still on the rise at HCH. The proportion of A and B grades achieved by our leavers is the highest to date and more than half of the grades were A grades.
More importantly perhaps, nearly all of our students will be going to their first-choice universities. We wish them all well and hope they visit again soon to tell us all about their experiences.

All of the students achieved passing grades in all subjects.
• 53% of the grades were A*-A, significantly better than the national average of 25.2%
• 83% were A*-B grades, substantially above the national average of 51.1%.
The majority of subjects are celebrating 100% A*-B grades, including all of the languages and humanities subjects. Over 70% of the grades in Mathematics were A*-A, but Economics was the top performing with 100% A*-A.
Congratulations have to go in particular to the following students who achieved straight A*-A grades.
• Gerard
• Anais
