Dear Parents,
A very happy New Year to you all. We’ve had a busy day at the school and, as I write, form tutors are putting the finishing touches to their classrooms for tomorrow. We are all ready to roll.
Staff appointments
As you know, Gerry Cirillo was appointed in September 2011 and this term he formally takes up his position as Head of English (and as the Form Tutor for Year 9). We are delighted also to welcome Selwyn Leamy to the Art department. Natalie Kavanagh will continue as Head of Art, supported by Selwyn Leamy and Morgana Osborne.
Almanack
Jon’s Almanack will be issued to your child this week; the Almanack will also be available for download in pdf format from the school website.
Arrival and Departure
Please note that the Campbell Road Gate will be closed to cars each morning at 8 am. After this time, car access to the school must be via the West Gate. Roger Malins will be manning the gates at these times. The school gates will close at 9.30 am. The West Gate will re-open at 2.45 pm and will be manned by Roger until 4.30 pm. Please note that the Campbell Road gate may not be used for cars during this time.School Website
Finally, the school website has undergone something of a transformation in recent months. Our site continues to grow on an almost daily basis. If you have not visited recently, please do so and have a look.
