Cursive Handwriting
Nursery and Reception classes are taught together whenever possible as children develop at different rates. The children sit at separate tables by ability. There is one teacher and one assistant per 10 children as young children need as much individual attention as possible in order to fulfil their potential. Up to Year 4, a teacher should be on his or her feet, going from table to table for most of the lesson.
Mornings the children have two lessons, a snack, outdoor play (35 minutes) then further lessons until 11:50 when they go to the conservatory for lunch. At 1:30 the children have free play outside for an hour and then go back to class for organized afternoon activities.
