Bursaries and Scholarships

The School offers up to three scholarships to the value of 10% per annum of the annual fees for entry in Years 7 and 9. The scholarships are awarded for academic, artistic or musical excellence. HCH Pupils sitting the Year 6 assessment tests or the Year 8
13+ exams automatically qualify for consideration for academic scholarships.

Music Scholarships

Musical scholarships are offered on a case-by-case basis, and are usually considered after a child has reached the age of 11. All candidates will also be expected to reach an appropriate standard in the entrance examination.

Expectations of Scholars

Those pupils in receipt of scholarships are expected to take a leading part in the academic, musical or artistic life of the School, as considered appropriate by the Headmaster and Heads of Art or Music, for the duration of the scholarship.

Bursaries

A limited number of means tested bursaries are available from Year 4 upwards. A Confidential Statement of Financial Circumstances Form is available from the Registrar upon request. All applications for bursaries are considered by the Governing Body.
