Oscar was born in Peru. He studied electronic engineering and computer systems analysis. Oscar is passionate about computing and he was the Head of the Information Technology Department in one of the best schools in Lima for seven years. There, he taught both primary and secondary school children and discovered his second passion in life – teaching.
Oscar came to London in 1999 and started an IT business. He worked mainly for embassies as an IT consultant and during that time obtained a NVQ Level 2 in IT.
Oscar decided to return to teaching and studied CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce NVQ Level 3. He worked as a key practitioner in a bilingual nursery for 5 years where he taught children from six months to six years old. During this time, he has obtained an Ofsted outstanding achievement.
Oscar has studied the special needs programmes: More than Words – The Hanen Program; and The Son Rise Program and has used methods learned in these courses to achieve remarkable results with autistic children. Oscar continues training; he has obtained an NCFE Cache Level 2 certificate in Understanding Autism in 2021.
