Position: Head of Dance

Lauren first started ballet at the age of three at Dance Warehouse in Kent, where her passion for dance quickly grew from a hobby to a vocation.

Lauren studied ballet, jazz, contemporary and street jazz. From a young age, Lauren furthered her dance experience by taking part in RAD award days, courses, festivals and shows.

She performed annually in the Sounds new music festival and twice a year in productions at the Marlowe Theatre in Kent. Lauren also performed with companies such as English Youth Ballet.

Lauren’s passion for dance teaching first started at the age of 14 when she was selected to become an assistant in classes at her dance school. This fuelled her decision to attend The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and to gain her degree in ballet education.

Lauren followed the RAD Graded and Vocational syllabi, obtaining her Primary – Grade 8 examinations as well as completing her vocational exams to Advance 1 level before attending the Royal Academy of Dance.
Since receiving her degree, Lauren has worked as a highly-qualified dance teacher in many institutions including: RAD Dance school; Chelsea Ballet School; Kingston Ballet School and Hampton Court House. Lauren’s experience teaching in a number of different sectors and demographics has enabled her to become a well-rounded teacher.

Lauren has taught a variety of dance styles, provided private coaching, prepared and entered students for exams with a 100% success rate in the Checchetti and RAD Syllabi, prepared students for auditions and festivals and choreographed for solo performances and shows.

As well as teaching in London and Surrey, Lauren also returns to Kent every summer to teach summer schools and put on productions.

In addition to her teaching career, Lauren is also the founder and choreographer for an independent dance company Entity, which performs and works with a number of prestigious companies. Recently, Lauren choreographed a solo to accompany the London Symphonic Orchestra in a collaborative project.
